Bocce Ball Court Behavior

Bocce Ball Court Behavior

The Amenities Committee has been informed that young children have been playing near and within the Bocce Ball Courts, and throwing various gray rocks and pebbles onto the playing surface.

These are not sandboxes or play areas, and this is unacceptable.  It interferes with the use and integrity of the courts.  Each of the rocks has to be picked out by hand before Bocce Ball can be played.  Parents, please find other ways for your children to entertain themselves.  The Committee thanks you.

Mountain Lion

There was a mountain lion spotted by two residents crossing Raindance this morning.  They were unable to take a photo, but it was large and did cross fairly close to them and their dogs.  Please stay alert and vigilant when outside -always.  We live in the mountains surrounded by wildlife and all can peacefully co-exist.  Its always a good thing to know what to do when encountering any kind go wildlife.

Here is a link with info on what to do if you see a mountain lion

Speeding in Paa-Ko

With people out walking, running, biking, it is important to remember to drive the speed limit through Paa-Ko.  School has also started and there have been some close calls of speeding cars going past bus stops where children are waiting.

Please, please, please slow down.  There are so many hills and blind curves plus the straightaway on Paa-Ko which seems to tempt higher speeds -- an accident, injury, or worse is not worth the extra speed being driven

Lost and Found

Remember that for all things LOST and all things FOUND, the Paa-Ko Sales Office is the place to go.

Earlier this week, some keys were turned in at the office that were left in the mailboxes at Kiva.  I was unavailable to send info out at the time, so hopefully they have been claimed.

Barking Dogs

As the hot weather prevails during the day, many like to open their windows at night to take advantage of the cooler air.  If you have an outside dog who likes to bark all night, or at least fairly consistently through the night, please be considerate of your neighbors.  Try to keep your dog indoors, or in a place where the barking won't be a nuisance.  Sound carries extraordinarily well in Paa-Ko and a constantly barking dog can be very disruptive to many people during the sleeping hours.
